Self-treatment with carefully chosen remedies which are taken properly
can help those with GWI/GWS. But GWI/GWS is very complex and
should be treated professionally.
As a classical homeopath, I cannot consult about the
homeopathic remedies for Gulf War Illnesses without discussing the true
causes and symptoms of GWS. Homeopathic prescribing is most dependent on
the individual symptoms of each sufferer, and so it is a most viable
method of treatment for the very diverse symptoms of GWS, but finding
the causes of GWS is important for prescribing too.GWS causes many illnesses which are real and
terrifying. It can be both lethal and moderately contagious. It can be
communicable through casual and intimate contact of bodily fluids from
sexual exchange and by airborne contact by coughing and perspiration,
making for secondary infectees. GWS is not imagined as the U.S. Dept of
Defense has alleged for the past 5 years while refusing proper medical
care and benefits to the vets and their families. To date GWS affects
well over 160,000 of the Gulf War veterans. This ever-growing statistic
does not include the secondary infectees: the wives, children, other
family members, friends or associates who are sick, disabled, dying or
dead.Whole families are now ill. Their babies are being
born with severe congenital defects and deformities, including being
born with one or more missing limbs, missing an eye or ear or organs,
and blood disorders. Sixty seven percent of babies born to Gulf War vets
are affected, and over half of all babies born in Iraq since the war are
affected. Even their pets are coming down with the GWS illnesses and
dying. Iraq is also reporting alarmingly high increases in rare and
unknown diseases, primarily in their children. Kuwait is also affected,
as are the British veterans of the Gulf War.At the end of the Gulf War, in March of 1991, the
Pentagon hailed the war as a virtually bloodless victory– for the U.S.
But it may take decades and generations before the true casualty count
is known.Symptoms began immediately in some cases, but mostly
they have appeared 6 months to 6 years after the time of exposure. They
can get progressively worse until the victim is partially or completely
disabled.
Sarin a deadly nerve agent, same as used
in the Tokyo subway attacks.Mustard gas, a blistering agent that can
burn flesh and lungs.Fallout of biological agents released
during and after allied bombings of Iraqi chemical warfare munitions
facilities.Anthrax and Botulinum toxoid vaccines and
several other experimental vaccines, all forcibly administered to US
troops as guinea pigs. (There are remedies of these listed below.)Vets were also exposed to at least 21 potential
reproductive toxicants possibly harmful to them and their future
children.Pyridostigmine bromide, an anti-nerve
agent pre-treatment drug forcibly administered to the US soldiers;
it’s use in conjunction with Deet insecticide repellant may have
been noxious.Fifteen Germ warfare agents such as mycoplasma
fermentans and incognitus which infects human cells and damages
them.Last but not least, and this one has remained
mostly hidden from public knowledge: Depleted Uranium (DU) in
the American and British weapons and armor used in the Gulf War.
Troops and the civilian population were exposed to weapons made from
radioactive depleted uranium. DU is the most deadly cause of GWS. It
consists of deadly radioactive nuclear waste and it is capable of
causing almost all of the symptoms of the Gulf War illnesses.DU was used in warfare for the first time in
Operation Desert Storm. It was the Pentagon’s first live field test of
armor-piercing bullets, tank shells, and tank armor made of this deadly
radioactive nuclear waste. Because of DU’s ability to penetrate steel,
it has become a popular weapon with the brass. When fired, a DU shell
combusts on impact, and as much as 70% of the material is released and
turns into an aerosol of radioactive uranium particles. It becomes an
irradiating powder in the air. It travels in the wind or becomes mixed
with dust and dirt. It can be inhaled and ingested and it can be trapped
in the lungs or kidneys.‘Depleted’ Uranium is a cleverly deceptive term for
the radioactive by-product of the uranium enrichment process. ‘Depleted’
does not mean non-radioactive. Depleted uranium is radioactive, with a
half life of 4.4 billion years. It now contaminates
battlefields, military bases, proving grounds, the hundreds of thousands
of soldiers who handled it, and the innocent victims of war. DU remains
imbedded in soil, water, and bodily fluids long after its use, where
millions can come into contact with it. When these highly toxic uranium
particles enter the body, they become lodged in major organs or bones,
affecting the bone marrow and producing DNA damage.The causes of GWS, when they are viewed objectively
instead of through the haze of diversion and disinformation that are
served up by the government and the corporate media, prove that the
Pentagon’s brass knowingly used their own soldiers as disposable guinea
pigs and cannon fodder, and they should be liable for such behavior. (

materials affect the immune system is not yet known, but the symptoms
tell a lot.

Abscesses: are blackish or dark-red,
terribly painful, and resolve slowly even after days of discharging
of pus, sepsis, enormous swelling; malignant appearance.Fever: with thirst, diminished appetite,

Apis mellifica

It is an excellent first aid remedy for illness caused by Multiple
Chemical Sensitivities and allergic reactions when skin is
bright pink, burning, itching, stinging, with swelling, puffiness and
edema. It is the homeopathic Anti-inflammatory and Anti-histamine.
Allergic reaction: when skin is bright
pink, burning, itching, stinging, with swelling, puffiness and
edema; hives; anaphylactic shock; to chemicals, antibiotics; worse
for heat and touch.Allergic Sore Throat: due to allergy: back
of throat bright red, swollen uvula, pain burning stinging.Bladder Cystitis: sudden onset with
frequent desire to urinate with burning pain and soreness while
urinating, especially last drops; pressing bladder pain, urging

Arsenicum album

A very important remedy for chemical warfare of any kind.
Illnesses caused by chemical warfare including: Radiation sickness,
Pesticides and Chemicals. Multiple chemicals sensitivities.
Allergies. Exhaustion, collapse and great weakness. Nausea,
vomiting, and diarrhea with burning pain in stomach with chillness,
thirst and restlessness, and other gastrointestinal problems. Pain which
feels burning. Degenerative changes causing deterioration of the
physical and/or mental state. Ailments from anxiety and financial loss.
Lou Gehrig’s Disease. A major homeopathic polycrest for many acute and
chronic disorders, acting particularly on the chest and alimentary tract

Physical insecurity pervades this type, with an intense concern
about their health. They fear and hate being ill, but also enjoy talking
about it. Changing doctors and trying every therapy, usually finds them
dissatisfied. Often obsessed with their digestive and eliminative
systems, they abhor being constipated. There is a great concern with
rigorous health diets and will follow them religiously. They are
perfectionists, or always seeking perfection, aspiring to more than most
can attain, both compulsive and driven. The driven over-doer of anything
worth doing, they immerse themselves in work as most important. Famous
for their meticulous attention to, and liking for, detail and accuracy,
they tend to be efficient and they get things done. Their anxiety can be
used to fill an emotional vacuum. Anal-retentive, they are orderly, tidy
and obstinate, resisting, refusing, and hold fear in. They are so
punctual with fear and even nightmares of being late, that they will
start out early to avoid lateness and arrive early. They are also upset
if made to wait, and have a passion for tight schedules. They can be
prone to obsessive-compulsive disorders.Chilly. Craves heat. Thirsty for sips. Sallow pale,

Aurum metallicum
[metallic gold]
Depression caused by Gulf War Syndrome: Aurum is wonderful remedy
to avoid or carefully replace anti-depressant drugs when the disposition
fits. Many Anti-depressants such as Prozac and Zoloft are
being prescribed by M.D.’s for the depression, grief and desperation
which affects most sufferers of GWS because their lives are in ruin.
They are very ill and being told it’s all in their heads. Many can no
longer function or work. Death and suicide is high among these vets, and
the numbers are part of the cover-up. Depression, sadness, grief,
and the trauma of all of the losses incured lead to suicidal tendencies,
which are worse from pain, and impotency. They feel surrounded by a dark
black cloud and alone, a failure and forsaken, having fallen from grace
because of their losses. Self-condemnation and self-reproach about what
has not been achieved and a sense of worthlessness, is followed by
self-destructive attitudes. Ailments from violence. Multiple Sclerosis
and spinal degeneration. Alcoholism. General weakness. Paralysis with
madness. Insomnia.
Eye Problems: extreme photophobia;
hemiopia with horizontal vision loss, the upper or lower half of
objects are invisible; glaucoma; everything looks blue; double
vision.Halitosis: horrible odor from the mouth
and nose; odor of old cheese; taste foul, bitter, putrid, sweetish
or milky; excessive salivation; and gingivitis of girls at puberty
who are gloomy or depressed.Insomnia: tired but cannot sleep from
chronic depression and mental activity which prevents sleep; sleep
disturbed by sexual excitement; restless sleep with anxious or
frightful dreams, wakes screaming and frightened; sobbing loudly in
sleep; frequent waking and restless sleep.Nose Problems: chronic inflammation of

Better from > Heat, warmth, cool open air, cool bathing;
walking in open air; evenings; music; moonlight.Disposition:
Sadness, depression, despair, despondency and disappointment is
their plague. A heavy weight (like gold metal) is carried within their
psyche. When depressed they feel surrounded by a dark black cloud with a
deep sense of hopelessness. They are prone to seasonal depressions which
are worse in the darkness of winter and when the sun doesn’t shine. They
have a deep feeling of having “fallen from grace”, as a result
of their unrealized aspirations and there are losses and failures. When
depressed, thay are inflexible and can’t see any possibilty for changing
their life. They want to die, and may talk and think cheerfully of death
and suicide as a way out. Death as the solution to their suffering is
very appealing and freeing to them. Financial loss or a business failure
is a loss of their “golden touch: and can overwhelm their sense of
self-worth.Right-sided symptoms. Chilly.

Botulinum

Illnesses from Botulinum Toxoid Vaccine with symptoms of: ptosis
(drooping upper eyelid); double and blurred vision; cramping stomach
pain; severe constipation; difficulty swallowing and breathing, choking
sensation; weakness and uncertainty in walking, “blind
staggers”; dizziness; thickening of speech; weakness of facial
muscles causing mask-like facial expression; and symptoms of food
poisoning and botulism.
Cadmium sulphuricum
[cadmic sulphate]
Illness from radiation sickness, chemical and toxic poisoning,
lead poisoning, vaccinations. Chronic fatigue with extreme prostration,
great weakness and exhaustion. Cancer. Formication of the skin and
deeper tissues. Asleep sensation or like ants crawling in the
extremities deep in the muscles and the skin. Hyperaesthesia or
anesthesia. Numbness of parts; the nose, one hand. Paralyzed parts are
sometimes painful. Crawling in paralyzed parts.
Cancer: if you have cancer with burning
prostration and vomiting CADM-S will relieve these symptoms for
weeks; a great palliative for gastric irritation of cancer.Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy: to
antidote the severe side effects of these cancer therapies which can
cause persistent vomiting [30c, which may cause patient to throw up
soon after remedy and then feels much better]; lifts spirits of
cancer sufferer in general; intense or violent nausea, retching;
black vomit; many of these patients die because they cannot eat but
this remedy will save them.Modalities:
Worse from < Walking, motion; carrying; after sleep; open air; stimulants.
Better from > Rest; eating.Disposition:
There is a dread of work; aversion to doing everything mental and
physical. Wants to be perfectly quiet; part of it is a state of
indolence, part of it is an aversion to motion. Don’t speak to me; don’t
bother me; let me be in peace; with anxiety.
Cantharis

Illnesses from inflamatories with inflammation and burns with raw,
burning, scalding pain. Cystitis and Urinary Track Infection:

Better from > Drawing up limbs; lying on affected side;
scratching, touch, pressure; localized heat; sunlight; cold drinks; hot
bathing; perspiration; stretching.Disposition:
They are very secretive and closed to keep the deep, dark secret
(skeleton in the closet) hidden. The hidden factor is subtle, because
they keep it from themselves and others. Like a chameleon, they need to
fit in and conform so they won’t be found-out or judged by others.
Self-protection is always expressed in some way, and they are elusive.
They are always trying to please and may change depending on who they
are with. It is a very guilt ridden remedy and they may use the word
“guilty” a lot, and can feel guilty for no distinctive reason.
This is an aspect of self-blame and shame. The shame isn’t always
clinically sexual, but somehow it always affects the sexuality or is
sexually expressed. There is usually some history of abuse, suppression
and manipulation and they feel frail and unsafe.Thin and unhealthy looking. Face may be slightly
puffy, pasty or greasy. Skin tends to warts, red moles, freckles.
Perspires profusely all over the body, offensive and oily. Left-sided
symptoms. Chilly.Antidoted by: CAMPH, CHAM, COCC, MERC, NUX-V,
PULS, SABIN, STAPH, SULPH.
Incompatible: tea, onion.

Uranium Nitricum
[Nitrate of Uranium]
Illnesses: from Depleted Uranium, uranium and radiation.
Great emaciation with ravenous appetite, debility and general edema.
Weakness and lassitude, on rising, daytime, after eating, during menses.
Pain is generally burning internally, tearing away. Excessive thirst and
appetite. Kidney and bladder ailments including diabetes. Dry mucous
membranes and skin. Skin cancer; lupus exedens; discoloration from
bruises; white vesicles on arms and legs with red areolae that itch and
burn. Swelling of glands. Liver degeneration. Nausea, vomiting, with
blood. Abdominal and stomach pain with sinking sensation; acidity;
burning pain in stomach; gastric and duodenal ulcers; belching;
indigestion; ascites (accumulation of a serous fluid of a watery nature
in the peritoneal cavity which is the serous membrane lining of the
abdominal cavity); sharp colic with tenesmus and raw feeling in rectum;
enteritis and peritonitis with meteorism and great prostration.
Sleepiness with extreme lethargy, especially when rising from bed,
during menses; insomnia with restlessness, with heat and shivering,
waking frequently; dreams are vivid, busy, and of fire. Male impotency
with nightly emissions that are unconscious; can be complete without
erections at all; genitals are cold, relaxed, sweaty. High blood
pressure. Heat flushes.
Bladder and Kidneys: pain sore, tender;
urging at 2 a.m.; urination frequent, worse daytime; urine
incontinence and bedwetting, involuntary at night, with pain when
trying to retain; kidney inflammation (nephritis); glycosuria,
excretion of glucose in the urine as in diabetes; diabetes mellitus
and insipidus; phosphaturia (phosphates in urine); containing casts
and bile; acrid, milky; albuminous- consecutive to heart disease, in
pregnancy; alkaline; dark or greenish color; copious, night, with
headache; odor fishy, offensive; sediment flocculent, mucous,
purulent; sugar.Modalities:
Worse from < Night; left-side; walking (headache); sleep, after sleep; getting up; during menses.
Better from > Open air; deep breathing; continued motion; hot
bath; lying down; pressure.Disposition:
They suffer ill humor that is fretful, peevish, and morose and they do
not feel well all day. They feel confusion after sleeping, and general
sluggishness with difficulty thinking and aversion to work. There is
restlessness in general, which is worse at night. There can be
despondency dejection depression and sadness. They can feel stupefied as
if intoxicated, and comatose.Perspiration odor is sweetish.
