Ratanhia.

Head.

Painful sticking in the head here and there.
Headache, as if the head were in a vice.
Dull, deep stitches on the vertex.
Pain in the middle of the forehead, as if the brain would fall out while
straining to stool.

Eyes.

[5] Twitching in the right eye and
right upper eyelid.
Sensation of a white speck before the eyes, impeding sight in the
evening by candle-light, with constant urging to wipe the eyes, and
amelioration after wiping.

Ears.

Violent stitch in the right ear.
Chirping in the right ear.

Nose.

Dryness of the nose.
[10] Dry coryza, with complete stoppage
of the nostrils.
Bleeding of the nose.

Mouth and Throat.

The gums exude sour blood on sticking them.
Shooting, pulsating pain, with sensation of elongation in one left upper
incisor (which is painful to the touch), in the evening ; worse
after lying down, compelling one to rise and to walk about.
The molars feel elongated, with the sensation as if coldness rushed out
of them.
[15] Burning at the tip of the tongue.
Painful, spasmodic contraction in the throat, during which he is unable
to speak a loud word.

Stomach and Abdomen.

Constant desire to eat.
Contractive pain in the stomach.
Ulcerative pain in the region of the stomach.

Stool and Anus.

[20] Hard stool, with straining ;
ineffectual urging to stool.
Burning in the anus before and after soft diarrhœic stools.
Protrusion of varices after hard stool, with straining.
Bloody diarrhœa.
Discharge of blood from the rectum, with or without stool.

Urinary Organs.

Frequent urging to urinate, with scanty discharge.
[25] The scanty urine soon becomes
turbid and cloudy.

Sexual Organs.


Women. Menstruation too early, too
profuse, and of too long duration, with pains in the abdomen and small
of the back.
Metrorrhagia.

Respiratory Organs.

Dry cough, with tickling in the larynx and great soreness in the chest.
Congestion of blood to the chest, with heat and dyspnœa.
[30] Stitches in the chest, especially
when ascending the steps.
