The Homoeopathic Health Centre (HHC)
The waiting room that is always full
The
Homoeopathic Centre is located in Bombay, India, a city with over 20 million people, many of
who suffer from a wide variety of acute or chronic ailments. The HHC is often the only place
open to them to search for relief.
The HHC has
been founded by Dr. Farokh J. Master in 1984. Over the years, the
centre has grown with currently more then 20 homoeopaths. All these homoeopaths are making
very long hours, and see average 3 to 4 new chronic cases and around 45 acute and follow up
visits.
Although
this might seem a large number for Western standards, yet, great care is being taken to treat
according to pure classical homoeopathic rules of individualisation.
To
treat this large number of patients with success a very high level of homoeopathic knowledge
and experience is required.
Clinical Training
The HHC
offers both serious homoeopathic students and practising homoeopaths to come to Bombay and
experience the daily routine of the homoeopathic clinic. Each day you may sit in during
routine consultations of one of the docters. You will see many types of acute illnesses
of children and adults like viral fevers, otitis media, sinus infections, tonsil inflammatons,
etc.. You will also see many chronic cases of bronchial problems like asthma, allergies, skin
diseases, psychiatric cases, diabetes, ischaemic heart disease, cancer, chronic renal failure,
etc.

valuable learning experience for those who wants to improve their practical homoeopathic
skills in a short time.
You will
experience the awesome powers of true classical homoeopathy, often in the most difficult
cases. The homoeopathic knowledge that you will acquire during these days in Bombay, you will

Lectures
In the
afternoon 1 – 2 hours’ lectures are scheduled where more difficult or especially
interesting cases are shown and more general homoeopathic topics are discussed. All lectures
will be in English.
Intensity – Hours
As the daily
routine can sometimes be very intense, and the temperature will be high, it is not expected
that you follow the long hours of the clinic. It will be best to start the first days on a
moderate working schedule adapted to your own vitality.
Duration – Certificate
A duration
of 2 weeks clinical training with some days reserved for your leisure is advisable.
At the end of your training period you will receive a certificate. It might also be a nice
opportunity to include a vacation in India, before or after your training period.
About Dr. Farokh J. Master

Besides
his work as director of the the HHC, Dr. Farokh Master is teaching homoeopathy (advanced
level) at the Bombay Homoeopathic Medical College, part of Bombay university. He is also
teaching at other homoeopathic colleges in India and abroad. He has given seminars in various
countries like England, USA, Canada, Austria, The Netherlands, Poland, Greece, Norway etc. Due
to his outstanding medical career, at present Dr. Farokh Master is the only Homoeopathic
physician M.D. (Hom.) consulting at Asia’s largest allopathic Hospital (viz. Bombay
Hospital, Institute of Medical Sciences, which is also attached to Bombay University).
Some
of the students that have passed through the Bombay Hom. Med. College during the time he was
teaching there, are now international well know homoeopaths.
More
then 36 books are on his name e.g. The Homoeopathic Dream Dictionary, Cross References of the
Mind, Perceiving Rubrics of the Mind, The State of Mind affecting the Foetus, Tumors and
Homoeopathy, The Bedside Organon of Medicine, The proving of Mocassin Snake, etc.
Dr.
Farokh Master is the originator of many recent new approaches and insights in homoeopathy.
Although these ideas can often be very helpful to find the correct remedy in certain cases, he
underlines the fact that, to have success, no one can do without a thourough understanding of
traditional homoeopathic philosophy and an extensive mat med study.

Training
Homeopaths working in the HHC
Although the clinical training is offered to you on the
principle of a voluntary donation, according to your financial ability, a minimum contribution
of around 100-150 US$ per week training would be suitable. As the HHC is a fully non-profit
organisation, all benefits will be used for the treatment of the extremely poor population of
Bombay who have no ways to pay for their treatment. Your donations will allow that several of
these patients are now able to receive their much needed treatment.
Accomodation
You can
arrange your own accomodations but we can organise all your arrangements and make reservations
for a suitable hotel near the clinic. Costs for a reasonable room will be 15US$ per day. For
your food you must budget about 8US$ per day. So about 160US$ per week.
Traveling Costs, etc.
The
only other costs you will have to bear is the air ticket from your country to Bombay. Other
unexpected costs in India will be very minimal.
Location
The
clinic is located in the centre of Bombay easily accessable by taxi, bus or train from the
airport. You must expect a high temperature of about 30 C average. Besides suitable clothing,
valid passport etc., no other special things like vaccinations are required.
Registration
To
guarantee that you are provided with thorough assistance and training, only a limited number
of trainees are accepted at one given time (max 4-5 persons).
