A tincture is made of the seeds of (Veratrum Sabadilla,
Schl.), Schœnocaulon officinale, A. Gr. (Cevadilla seeds).
Allies :- ►
Like its near
relative, Veratrum album, it is an
acrid emetic and cathartic, with a very decided action on the nose ;
it seems to lack the violent thirst of Verat.
and in some respects more resembles Puls.
► (Relief in the open air is a strongly marked character throughout
the symptomatology.).
Generalities :- ►
Convulsions.
► Jerking of upper lip, then of hands, fingers or thighs, agg. left
side, and always from right to left. ► Starting at the least noise.
► Trembling. ► Sticking, now here, now there ; S. under
skin, agg. about fingers and toes ; burning crawling, here and
there ; beating, in several parts, almost like pressure, sometimes
pinching, returning after four or seven beats of pulse. ►
Pain in all bones, agg. joints, as if scraped and cut, all day
(See Ph. ac.), agg. right arm, agg.
cold, transiently amel. moving arm rapidly and in warmth and at night.
► Boring behind left ear in parotid, lower jaw and submaxillary
glands. ► Bruised pain in various parts ;
B. feeling, she would like to lie at the time, walking and standing are
very distressing. ► Many pains are felt in right, then left side, or
extend from right to left, for instance, headache, pain in side, pain in
limbs.►
Indisposition without pain. ►
Discomfort towards evening and falling asleep, worried in sleep by all
sorts of strange thoughts, no images in his dreams. ► Pulsation in
all vessels in evening before sleep. ► Anxious restlessness. ►
Weakness ; in morning on waking, with pain as if she had
lain on blocks of wood ; in forenoon while sitting, till he falls
asleep, when disturbed he starts up in fright, then heaviness of
head ; amel. lying down, with heaviness ; with desire to lie and
sleep all the time ; sudden, with closure of eyes ; sudden, in
the street after a short walk, with dullness of head as if he had taken
liquor, and closure of eyes. ► Aggravation in last hours of
forenoon, especially pains in joints, weakness and drowsiness ; of
pain by cold, with discomfort. ► Amelioration when lying.
Clinical :- ►
Convulsive symptoms, especially in children with worms. ► General
aggravation at the same hour each day. ► General sensitiveness to
cold, which aggravates.
Mind :- ►
She lay almost
speechless and unconscious or else sprang up with anxious restlessness and
ran about the room, pulling at the pit of stomach and at neck, face
sunken, pale and anxious. ► He imagined strange things about his own
body, that it had shrunk like that of a dead person, that his stomach was
corroded, that the scrotum was swollen, etc., but he knew that it was all
fanciful. ► Mind excited, but disposition cold, afterwards
understanding depressed, he comprehends with difficulty, but disposition
is more easily excited. ► Rage. ► Vexed ; and inclined to
be vehement. ► Gloomy, as if he were the greatest criminal. ►
Absorbed in reverie all day. ► Indisposed to work. ► Cheerful.
► Thought difficult and caused headache, otherwise inclined to laugh
at everything, afterwards indifferent.
Clinical :- ►
It has
been found useful for imaginary diseases, that is to say, a mental
condition in which the patient imagines he has various troubles.
Head :- ►
Sticking, agg.
forehead. ► Pain from fixed
attention ; P. agg. walking, on returning to the house
screwing pain beginning in right side of head and extending over whole
head after going to bed ; with heaviness so that he could scarcely
raise it ; itching, agg. forehead ; in different parts of brain
as if pressed against sharp corners, in evening when reading ;
pressing asunder ; P. inward from all sides. ►
Dull and heavy, as if he must hold it all the time. ►
Confusion. ► Stupefaction. ► Vertigo ; in morning after
rising, greater when sitting than when walking ; in afternoon till
after dinner, amel. resting head on table, with nausea ; on going to
bed ; agg. rising from a seat ;
greater when sitting than when standing, as if he would faint, with
obscuration of vision.
Forehead :- ►
Sticking in left
eminence ; tearing, externally on left side. ► Pain ;
above left eye, then also in temple in sinciput, amel. pressure of palm on
forehead, heat in F., then coldness in hairy scalp, even the hair felt
cold to hand, as if cold water had been poured over head ; in
sinciput and temples, with dizziness and occasional stitches in back, then
drawing ; in skin, ascending to vertex, with vertigo in F. ; tensive,
with pressure ; above eyes, as if brain would fall
forward ; as if a thread had been drawn from middle to F. to occiput
above temple, leaving burning ; beating, in right, then left
side ; beating, in right, afterwards more in upper part, then
headache all day ; like heaviness, next day in whole head, amel.
staring or reflecting. ► Heaviness in
forepart of right side, extending towards left side and finally
over whole head, agg. motion, when it is a sort of vertigo. ►
Stupefying oppression, causing a reeling sensation and making
him stagger. ► Dull sensation as from a blow, not exactly a pain,
with heaviness of limbs.
Temples :- ►
Sticking ; in
right ; externally in left ; and in scalp. ► Pain ; in
left ; pressure towards right bone ; P.
outward in right ; downward in left ; P. extending towards
vertex and thence to lowest part of occiput. ► Painful beating in
left.►
Pain in right side of vertex. ►
Pain in right hemisphere, extending to left lower molars. ► Sticking
in right side of occiput, in region of lamboidal suture, when walking in
open air. ► Pain as if something were thrust from upper part of
occiput through brain to forehead. ► Pressure forward in O., with
vertigo. ► Pain in left side of O. as if a wound were pressed.
► Burning pain in scalp. ► Tension of scalp, agg. during
fever. ► Itching of scalp ; on vertex ; when perspiring
during a walk, with crawling ; crawling, amel. scratching, with
burning.
Clinical :- ►
Sudden
vertigo on waking at night, sometimes when rising from stooping. ►
Headaches amel. eating.
Eyes :- ►
Surrounded by blue
rings. ► Painful drawing upward in right E. and temple. ►
Intermittent corrosive burning in left, returning after a few pulsations. ►
Lachrymation as soon as pain is felt in any part of body ;
L. when walking in open air, when looking at a bright light, coughing or
yawning. ► Pressure upon balls, agg. looking upward, amel. looking
down. ► Hard mucus in external canthi about noon. ► Margins of
lids red and sensation in eyes as if inflammation would arise.
Ears :- ►
Sticking in left ; in
lobule of right ; burning-crawling, behind E. ► Pain
internally. ► Burning itching in anterior of lobules. ►
Obstructed sensation. ► Crackling ; and otalgia. ►
Humming before dinner, on forcing air into it ; H. and buzzing, with
sometimes a sensation as if something heavy had fallen upon the floor and
burst, then ringing.
Nose :- ►
Contractive biting as
from mustard. ► Itching tingling. ►
Sensitive dryness of upper part. ► Obstruction of one
nostril, with whistling in the other during inspiration ; O. of one
or other nostril, the air has to be forced out with a snuffing noise and
is drawn in with great effort, with snoring. ►
Sneezing shaking the abdomen, then lachrymation ; S., with sticking
contractive headache over eyes and red margins of lids. ► Copious,
thin, thickish, whitish, transparent mucus, sometimes in large lumps, on
blowing slightly, without catarrh, later frequent blowing of nose because
it is full of viscid, yellowish-grayish mucus. ► Bleeding.
Clinical :- ►
Influenza, with violent spasmodic sneezing and lachrymation on being in
the open air, with symptoms of tonsillitis beginning on left side and
extending to right, pains agg. empty swallowing. ► Rose-cold or
hay-fever, with burning and stinging and complete obstruction, watery
discharge, itching and tingling in nose, nose swollen, eyes watery (Verat.
alb.).
Face :- ►
Jaws, rattling in
joints as if loose, in morning on opening mouth, agg. right ; pain in
lower on touch, as from swollen glands ; drawing, and in teeth ;
beating in muscles of left upper, with itching.
► Stinging in lips, gums and tip of tongue, with bitterness and
repulsive sweetness. ► Sore tensive pain in median line of upper lid
in morning after waking, as from a crack, or as if it were drawn together
and upward with a string, the tension amel. pressing lip with incisors,
then only soreness, afterwards it is seen that the epidermis is torn and
retracted. ► Burning of lips ; with itching, tingling and
prickling.
Mouth :- ►
A carious molar
becomes more carious and breaks, without pain. ► Sticking downward
in right upper teeth ; S. in an anterior left lower molar, extending
towards ear ; in a right lower molar, extending into submaxillary
glands. ► Intermittent beating in teeth, agg. walking, with drawing.
► Paroxysmal painful jerking in gums.
Tongue :- ►
►
Coated mostly whitish-yellowish, agg. middle and posteriorly ;
C. white, tip and gums are bluish. ► Intermittent pinching stitches
in tip, agg. right side. ► Feels sore and as if full of blisters.
► Burning pain through right side of tip, then spitting and taste as
of unripe fruit. ► Burning on tip ;
with soreness of throat, agg. swallowing saliva, leaving burning when
drinking.►
Burning, crawling, stinging in palate.
► Intermittent pain inside left cheek, where teeth touch. ►
Mouth and tip of tongue felt sore and scalded. ►
Salivation ; with nausea and retching ; sweetish ;
(astringent, metallic). ► Hot breath. ► Taste flat,
bitter ; bitter, rising from
throat to nose, amel. a meal ; flat, bitter ; sweet as after
liquorice ; repulsive, burning, sweetish, agg. the customary smoking,
amel. eating ; T. and appetite lost.
Clinical :- ►
Neuralgic toothache.
Throat :- ►
Swelling of uvula.
► Mucus before breakfast. ► Hawking of bright blood from
posterior nares. ► Tensive clawing in parotid gland, with salivation
on same side. ► Scraping and pain ; S., with accumulation of
water in mouth ; with roughness and sensation as if a morsel were
lodged there, provoking cough ; with roughness and constant
hawking ; and when swallowing feeling as if uvula rested on tongue,
the insipidity in throat obliged him to hawk a sweet, flat-tasting
mucus ; with tightness, causing sticking, he has to hawk in order to
breathe freely ; as from something acrid, with dryness where nose
opens into throat. ► Constant necessity to
swallow, with pain in mouth and behind larynx as if something
lodged there, with scratching roughness, he hawks constantly, agg.
morning, afterwards all day, also when eating, agg. after eating.►

Sensation of a lump, which it was necessary to swallow. ►
Sensation of a soft body lodged there, agg. deglutition. ► Sore on
swallowing. ► Swollen feeling. ► Constriction as from a
string ; in fauces as after an astringent
drink. ► Dryness ; when swallowing. ► Burning,
with pressure as from internal swelling ; B. and during empty
deglutition pressure as from a plug ; in fauces and about uvula, with
pungent taste, he had to spit much. ► Sensation of a vapor rising in
it, with bitterness, almost like heartburn.
Clinical :- ►
Tonsillitis beginning in left side, amel. warm drinks.
Stomach :- ►
He eats more
breakfast than usual, and with haste. ► Appetite lost all day, then
canine in evening ; lost for dinner ; lost, the first mouthful
of food tastes of the drug. ► Aversion to food ; and
coffee ; to meat ; with
appetite. ► Thirst ; after the chilliness ; for cold water
in morning ; for cold water, agg. towards evening. ►
Eructations ; rancid ; sour ; bitter, pungent ; empty,
with shuddering ; painful, often ascending only to middle of chest.
► Hiccough.►
► Nausea ;
when eating ; as soon as she sees cooked food ; after eating,
with anxiety ; amel. dinner ; amel. bitter eructations ;
amel. tasteless eructations ; with constant
spitting of insipid water ; with bitter taste ; with
discomfort and coldness in stomach ; with pain, weakness and feeling
as if she would sink down ; with retching, then vertigo into falling,
then headache ; with retching, the R. agg. coughing ; with
gulping up of bitter mucus, leaving behind a greasy substance, as if he
had eaten tallow ; causing shuddering.►
Vomiting of a clear, slimy liquid.
► Sticking in left side of pit. ► Digging on left side above
pit, with pain on touch. ► Intermittent pinching in middle of
epigastrium, between pit of S. and vertebræ. ► Pain, with bloated
sensation ; P. as if a sore spot were
pressed, below pit, on pressure and inspiration. ►
Sensitiveness of epigastric region to touch, with pressure as from a
stone. ► Pain in S. and abdomen as from a stone, with digging in
abdomen. ► Tightness in pit and chest, agg. inspiration. ►
Sensation jut below pit as if S. were turning inside out. ►
Indications of heartburn. ► Burning pain ; corrosive,
when walking. ► Burning ; in region of S. and
liver ; after waking, with suffocative breathing, she thought she was
relieved by pressing chest with hands, but she was not ; extending
to pit of throat. ► Emptiness.
Clinical :- ►
Cardialgia, with distention. ► The gastric symptoms are generally
characterized by absence of thirst and longing for sweats, general
relief after eating. ► Cutting colic, especially from worms.
► Vomiting of round worms, feeling of worm in pharynx.
Abdomen :- ►
Rumbling ; with
movements ; with emission of flatus, then urging and stool, in half
an hour another stool ; with urging, then scanty, difficult stool,
after half an hour a copious, painless stool ; with burning in it and
tip of tongue and throat, then stool mixed with blood and burning in anus,
then weakness and slumber for quarter of an hour, upon waking he felt
extremely well ; with pinching and stitches in region of
bladder ; then loose stool, after ten minutes again R., then copious
loose stool ; as if empty ; intermittent R. and grunting.
► Pinching, then urging, but only flatus passes. ► Pain, and
in anus. ► Burning ; after stool, and in rectum ; with
ineffectual desire for stool ; extending to mouth, with ptyalism, the
saliva appearing to be as hot as the heat in A., but it is not. ►
Shuddering.
Hypochondria :- ►
Sticking in
right, agg. deep inspiration ; sudden, in right in afternoon when
sitting, with lachrymation, he rises and twists in every direction, when
the pain suddenly attacks left side and the pains meet in the middle of
the abdomen, amel. sitting down, stretching, bending the back forward and
pressing hands into sides. ► Digging in right lobe of liver,
extending to left, with paroxysms of painful drawing transversely, and
when pressing upon it pain as in an old sore, at the same time digging in
forehead, amel. pressure. ► Scraping in hepatic region. ►
Warmth in right not far from pit of stomach.►
Spasmodic contractions of left side,
with burning pain, he bent towards left side. ► Sticking in left
side when sitting ; S. in right side, agg. hepatic region ; in
left side as from a sore. ► Pinching around umbilicus, then sudden
copious tool, which was soon followed by another, later fetid flatus.
► Burning around umbilicus. ► Intermittent sticking in left
groin in evening. ► Boring in hypogastrium, agg. one place in right
hip.
Rectum :- ►
Pinching tearing.
► Crawling as from ascarides. ► Urging, then scanty difficult
stool, then headache ; U., with jerking drawing in pubic region, as
if coming from spermatic cords and extending to hollow between thigh and
scrotum, later noiseless emission of flatus, then shuddering across
back ; with croaking like frogs, after sitting a long time emission
of much flatus, then enormous stool, then a second mixed with blood, then
burning pain in abdomen for eight days, then itching which on rubbing
changed into burning ; sudden ineffectual.
Clinical :- ►
Threat-worms. ► Numerous symptoms of worms, especially in
children, with irritation of the external genitals.
Anus :- ►
Burning pain before
stool. ► Itching, then burning after scratching.
Stool :- ►
►
Fermented and brown diarrhœa. ► Frequent after a large
dose, none for four days after a small dose. ► Difficult. ►
Delayed. ► Omitted for several days, then first part hard, difficult
at first, afterwards scanty.
Urinary Organs :- ►
Urethra,
dragging as far as tip when urinating ; scalding when
urinating ; burning between micturitions, with urging. ►
Constant desire to urinate, with burning in urethra, with urging agg.
emission of a few drops, with drawing backward in urethra, this symptom
amel. Pulsatilla. ►
Urine like muddy water. ► Urine increased, mixed with
blood. ► U. scanty.
Sexual Organs :- ►
Drawing,
beating, sticking, intermittent pain towards tip of penis. ► Painful
erections in morning, without desire. ► Slow undulating motion in
testicles all day, sometimes tingling from thighs to testicles, after
which the undulation begins again and is more violent. ►
Intermittent bruised pain in left testicle towards evening. ►
Insensible to excitement, he is nauseated by amorous caresses. ►
Desire lost, later he can scarcely rid himself of voluptuous thoughts
though the penis is relaxed.►
Menses one day later, profuse and
lasting one day longer than usual, three or four days before they appeared
bearing down as if they would come on ; M. which had just begun
decreased, they reappear irregularly and more or less profusely.
Clinical :- ►
Ovaritis, with cutting pain (Coloc.).
Respiratory Organs :- ►
Hoarseness. ► Wheezing in trachea during inspiration when lying. ►
Cough dry, at night, leaving him no rest, with heat and
sweat ; short, dry, from scraping in throat ;
short, in paroxysms, with lachrymation ; violent. ► Breathing
rapid ; suddenly oppressed in pit of
stomach, with anxiety ; short, all day ; short,
difficult, agg. afternoon.
Clinical :- ►
Has
been used for cough, agg. lying down. ► Cough, associated with
coryza and lachrymation. ► Reflex cough from worms.
Chest :- ►
Sticking in left
side ; in right side between third and fourth ribs ; above
ensiform cartilage ; externally in right side during
expiration ; in left side, at first more in upper part, then in
lower, agg. cough and deep inspiration ; in forepart of middle of
right side during inspiration and cough, waking him at night, necessity to
lie on back, cough with expectoration ; pinching, behind heart,
towards left side, agg. inspiration. ► Pricking boring outward in
right side during expiration when sitting. ► Oppression ; when
sitting or lying ; with anguish about heart. ► Painful pressure
in middle. ► Burning pain in left side. ► Burning, with
bitterish-sourish taste rising from œsophagus into posterior part of
mouth ; B. in right side as if he had swallowed hot water.
Heart and Pulse :- ►
Præcordial
anxiety, with tossing about and groaning. ► Præcordial warmth.
► Palpitation and sensation as if all arteries of body were beating.
► Pulse rapid and irregular ; P. small, spasmodic, with
coldness of limbs.
Neck :- ►
Pain in nape on moving
it.
Back :- ►
Sticking in right side.
► Bruised pain in spine when sitting. ► Intermittent pain as
from weariness in forenoon and afternoon, beginning when walking, amel.
sitting, making his back hollow and leaning firmly against anything.
► Burning-tingling stinging between scapulæ. ► Pain in region
of left sacro-iliac symphysis when walking ; P. in lumbar region,
with chilliness ; in upper border of os ilium, not far from superior
spinous process, amel. walking and pressure, agg. sitting.
Extremities :- ►
Trembling.
► Cracking in joints on motion. ► Bruised feeling, agg. knees,
also when sitting. ► Pain in fingers and toes waking him and
obliging scratching, which caused burning. ► Drawing through all,
with sensation as if one were paralyzed ; painful D., with heaviness
of feet so that walking was difficult ; painful, in middle of bones,
agg. lower, causing stretching, amel. rest, and heaviness and stiffness on
motion, agg. joints. ► Crawling in all. ► Weakness, he sweats
on exertion and at night in bed ; paralytic W. late in evening. ►
Heaviness all day, agg. latter hours of forenoon and towards evening,
obliging one to lie down ; H. agg. joints, with weariness,
feet, with weariness, she often lets arms hang down, as if they had no
strength.
Upper Extremities :- ►
Pain from
right shoulder into chest, as if circulation were stopped by a bandage,
all day, agg. cold and in open air, sometimes the pain is in left
shoulder. ► Arms, convulsions ; right suddenly and painfully
jerked upward ; stretching ; trembling, and of hands. ►
Upper arm, sticking in muscles of left during rest ; intermittent
pinching in flesh in middle of inner side of right ; aching in
muscles on moving arm. ► Elbow, jerking ; painful drawing in
right. ► Forearm, sticking outward in muscles of left, amel.
motion ; aching below elbow on bending arm ; aching in muscles
near right wrist during motion ; jerking pain on inner side, agg.
towards hands. ► Pain in right wrist, agg. motion.
Hand :- ►
Trembling of right when
writing ; of left as after apoplexy, when lifting or holding
anything. ► Cramp of right, agg. fingers, so that hand is stiff,
fingers crooked and nothing can be held ; sudden C. in right, he
cannot grasp anything. ► Sticking in right. ► Beating tearing
internally in left, on side of little fingers. ► Dryness.
Fingers :- ►
Cramplike
contraction of left little and ring during rest. ► Sticking in right
index ; burning, in tips of left, then heat, the rest of the hand
being cold ; tingling, in right thumb towards index when writing.
► Jerking darting in right thumb, agg. grasping it. ► Tearing
in left middle ; itching, in left ring. ► Pain in left index,
amel. motion ; beating P. in bone of right middle. ► Paralytic
drawing, painful rigidity of left thumb and index.
Lower Extremities :- ►
Staggering, afterwards movements more graceful than ever.
Thigh :- ►
►
Stinging in both ; intermittent, in muscles of right when
sitting ; drawing ; intermittent jerking, in surface of right
near genitals. ► Pain in left hip when sitting ; bruised, in
anterior muscles of when walking, agg. touch ; as if they had been
compressed, amel. stretching limbs, agg. motion, amel. continuing to
move ; drawing, in right T. and leg. ► Painful pressure in
right hip-joint, agg. lying upon it.
Knee :- ►
Sticking in
right ; in outer part of left when sitting. ► Tearing in right
on every step. ► Drawing in outer side of left, with pressure.
► Weakness.►
Pinching along right fibula when
walking, with pressure. ► Tearing-tensive pain in calves after
midnight, amel. morning after rising. ► Tension in right calf when
walking. ► Weariness of legs. ► Swelling of feet, agg.
morning ; S. of feet, with pain on walking. ► Painful pressure
in left sole when standing. ► Tension of feet. ►
Heaviness of F. ► Pricklings in toes as if asleep.
Skin :- ►
Yellow spots on
fingers. ► Redness of face and hands ; of one hand, with red
spots upon it ; in an elevated streak transversely across left
forearm ; in spots on hands, agg. left ; in spots on left arm,
causing heat ; in spots and streaks, agg. cold ; in points on
abdomen, hands and chest, agg. open air. ► Erysipelatous
inflammation on right tibia, with burning pain. ► Dryness of hands
in forenoon, amel. afternoon, with roughness. ► Desquamation on
sides of finger-nails. ► Pimples behind right ear ; burning
itching, on forearms. ► White blister with red areola and burning
pain, on forepart of left knee.►
Prickling on forehead when becoming warm
and ascending stairs rapidly. ► Burning crawling over brows. ►
Itching waking him after midnight ; at night in bed, scratching
causes burning ; of hands and feet ; between right fingers at
night in bed ; on left cheek, with specks like herpes on face.
Clinical :- ►
Measles, with violent sneezing, headache, sticking in the chest.
Sleep :- ►
Constant necessity to
stretch, with cracking in shoulders and back. ► Weak yawning, with
lachrymation. ► Sleepiness ; all day,
eyes constantly closed. ► Sleep as soon as she sits down ; S.
in afternoon, and peevishness on being disturbed from his sleep. ►
Very sound, without dreams.►
Sleeplessness in evening from a crowd of
ideas. ► Restless night, with pain in right thigh and right upper
arm ; R. sleep and much dreaming ; R., unrefreshing sleep.
► Starting up in fright from sleep in morning. ► In evening in
bed when half dreaming, strange thoughts as if they were separate from him
and more important than he and he could not drive them away. ►
Dreams confused ; and unremembered, disturbing sleep ;
vivid D. about helping people and making them glad ; lascivious, in
morning, with scanty emission and relaxed penis, he is conscious of
dreaming and of an emission, then painful erection and lassitude, feels
easier in open air.
Fever :- ►
Chilliness ; all
day ; at 5 P.M., coldness over back as if
dashed with cold water, chattering of teeth, the chill amel. only warm
stove, then general warmth and sweat, agg. forehead, lower limbs simply
warm, in night sticking in chest and cough ; at 9.30 P.M.,
so that he went to bed, then shaking chill, later alternate heat and
coldness, then oppression with sweat and chilliness ; sensitive to
cold ; with gooseskin and moderate thirst ; then warmth and
sensation as if creeping would set in, agg. thighs ; internal,
with internal heat of head ; general, with shuddering over
back ; alternating with flashes of heat all day, agg. forenoon ;
shaking, waking him at 1 P.M., he feels warm, with
prickling in forehead. ► Shuddering ; intermittent,
afterwards sudden heat, agg. face, feeling as if a hot breath came out of
mouth and nose and heated neighboring parts, without
thirst, with clearness in head and
general comfort, the paroxysms of heat less frequent but longer than the
shuddering. ► Chilliness over body, agg. limbs, with
burning in face. ► Cold limbs ;

forehead, lips and cheeks felt hot, hands dry and rough, mouth dry and
sticky in morning, moderate thirst, desire for juicy food ; in
flushes, with redness of face ; febrile condition, sick feeling,
restless anxiety, easy starting, short, hot breath, trembling, orgasm of
blood, eyes weak and unsteady, irresistible sleepiness, yawning,
shivering, nausea. ► Heat in various parts of skin, agg.
face, agg. stooping, amel. washing with cold water, with pain, later
tension, agg. left side of face. ► Burning in left temple and right
ear, without redness ; corrosive burning
point on vertex ; internal heat in head and face as from wine ;
in face after warm drinks ; external, in face, with redness ; in
face in flushes, with redness of cheeks ; here and there in face
towards evening, with stinging itching ; burning in knees.►
Sweat after midnight ; S. on
soles ; on head and face, which were hot to touch, while rest of body
was cold ; on chest and in axilla towards evening after walking, with
itching about nipple ; cold, on forehead.
Clinical :- ►
It has
been used for intermittent fever, which recurs at the same hour ;
chills in evening, commencing in extremities, running up the body ;
heat in head and face, interrupted by chills ; sweat commencing
during the fever ; hot sweat on the face.
