several places, like large blisters; in other parts the abdomen is
spasmodically retracted, causing depression, [1]. ► Abdomen

Short, abrupt emission of flatus, not easily without exertion of the

towards morning, aggravated by rising in bed, then gradually

abdomen, in the umbilical region, extending to the back, [2]. ►

of the menses, followed by pressing downward in the groin, alternately
with pressure in the genitals with increased congestion and flow of

Pain in the abdomen as after a fright, preceded by an anxious sensation

pain, as from a thrust, in the middle of the abdomen below the

Pressure in the hypogastrium, with qualmishness, like that preceding the

Cutting in the lower abdomen, as in menstruation, with drawing headache

RECTUM AND ANUS.

the anus, with subsequent spasmodic constriction of the nates, extending

passed only in pieces, after great pressure, with a painful sensation of weakness, and a tight sensation in the abdominal muscles,

Stool difficult, with much cutting, burning, and protrusion of hæmorrhoids,

Discharge of much blood from the anus, [2].

diarrhœa, every evening, before going to sleep, about the

Crawling and itching in the anus, as from threadworms, in the evening,
for three weeks, [2].
STOOL.
►
Stool forcible, with great noise, after dinner; at first thin, then
hard, with increased urging, in pieces, each one of which he was obliged
to press out, dry, so that it almost crumbled, followed by shivering and
shaking, especially in the upper part of the body; and after rising from
stool, slight pain and a feeling of weakness about the umbilicus, [2]. ►
Stool thinner than usual, passed suddenly and forcibly, [2]. ► Stool
rather thin, preceded and followed by slight tenesmus in the anus, [2]. ►
Stool, in the evening, pasty, with threadworms, [1]. ► Stool,
in the morning, pasty, partly digested and somewhat bloody, followed by
increased tension in the left hypochondrium and small of the back, [1]. ►
Scanty evacuation of tenacious, glutinous, connected stool, with long
pressure and exertion of the abdominal muscles (after two hours), [2]. ►
*Stool indurated, as if burnt, preceded and followed by
slight pressure, [2]. ► A piece of tapeworm is passed, with
desire for stool, [1]. ► Stool every two days, with much pressure

URINARY ORGANS.

SEXUAL ORGANS.

CHEST.

as after rising too early in the morning, lasting a long time after

between two left ribs, at rhythmical intervals, [2]. [330.] ► *Dull shocks of pressure in the left half of the
chest, partly beneath the axilla, partly in the middle of the
chest, not affecting respiration (after three hours, and the eighth

Pressure, with a cool sensation, in the lower extremity of the left
scapula, [2]. ► Jerklike drawing in the right scapula,
