feeling of the left inguinal glands, so that he cannot step along well
when walking; the glands, however, are neither swollen nor painful to

RECTUM AND ANUS.

Objective. ► Swelling
about the whole circumference of the anus, [1]. ► The
veins of the anus are much swollen, [1].
► A thin cord, like a swollen vein,
painless when touched, extends from the anus towards the nates, [1]. ► *Hæmorrhoids
in the anus, which cause burning, [1]. ► *Prolapsus
of the rectum (with its hæmorrhoids), even without urging to stool, as
if the anus had lost its contractility and was paralyzed, [1]. ►
Discharge of blood from the rectum, with great sticking in it, [1]. ►
Subjective. ► Tenesmus
with each stool (after twenty-one hours), [1].

pale-red, irregular pimples, which do not have hairs on the tip, but
occur here and there between the hairs; touch causes a very acute pain

still it is evacuated with much exertion, on account of total inactivity

STOOL.

Diarrhœa. ► *Diarrhœa,
almost without colic, for twenty-four hours, followed by great prostration, of short duration,

Diarrhœa three times, with burning in the anus (seventeenth day), [4]. ►
Sudden slimy, diarrhœic stools, with feeling as though flatulence would
pass, preceded by faint sinking feeling and sensation of coldness in the
abdomen, [5]. ► Several liquid, diarrhœa-like stools,
with discharged mucus, three days in succession, [4]. ►
Frequent stools daily for several days, the first very hard and thick

Stools occur daily at the right times, though previously there had been

URINARY ORGANS.

Urethra. ► Burning in the
urethra when not urinating, [1]. ► Burning in the orifice of the urethra
after urinating, [4]. ► Cutting dragging downward from both
kidneys before urinating (the first days), [4]. ► Raw
pressure in the root of the urethra, with desire urinate, [1]. ►
Tickling in the urethra while urinating, [1].

urging to urinate in the morning in bed, but only a few drops were
