Dyspnœa, with palpitation, faintness, inability to lie down : starts
up with convulsive efforts to breathe.
On falling asleep patient ceases to breathe ; wakes with a start and
gasps.
Chronic pneumonia, with purulent expectoration : great dyspnœa, or
chronic bronchitis ; asthmatic respiration.
